Stylishly wrapped in its contoured champagne-silver case, Canon's new Sure Shot AF-10 Date
compact camera makes high quality picture-taking as easy as point and shoot. Weighing in
at a mere 5.6 ounces (without batteries), the AF-10 Date camera puts the power of Canon
optics into any user's hands, allowing them to capture clear and brilliant images during
life's big moments.
"Although the digital imaging trend
accelerates each year spanning digital SLRs to compact cameras, we maintain our commitment
to the industry by continuing to offer simple, traditional and easy-to-use film cameras
that provide the joy of photography to everybody," said Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior
vice president and general manager of the Consumer Imaging Group at Canon U.S.A., Inc., a
subsidiary of Canon Inc. (NYSE CAJ).
"The Sure Shot AF-10 Date camera's lightweight, innovative, eye-catching and easy to
use design gives point-and-shoot camera users better pictures wherever they go. What's
more, its simple yet advanced features place creative picture-taking at the touch of a
button."
The camera features a bright built-in flash with red-eye reduction, so everyone in the
flash photo appears brighter with more natural-looking eyes. The bold wide-angle 26mm
Canon lens, Smart AutoFocus (AF) and oversized viewfinder allow consumers to record
treasured memories easily with beautiful results. Additional key features include
autoload, autoadvance, autorewind, mid-roll rewind, and a self-timer. Flash operation and
date imprinting can be controlled from an LCD panel on top of the camera.
Canon's Sure Shot AF-10 Date Camera will be available in October for an estimated selling
price of $49.95.
